Siloam Springs, Ark (November 7, 1997) - Pamela Hamby of Sherwood, Ark., was named to the John Brown University President's List of distinguished students of the Advance Degree Completion Program. Hamby is a member of the Advance Program's Group 3 in Little Rock.
In order to appear on the President's List, a student must achieve between a 3.8 and 4.0 grade point average for the semester and carry at least 12 hours of credit.
The Advance Program is an accelerated degree completion program which allows students with two years of college credit to finish their bachelor's degree by taking classes one night per week. Students progress through their studies as a group, taking courses in an established sequence. Classes are open to adults 23 years of age or older who have at least two years of relevant work experience. Since the program's inception in 1993, 253 students have graduated with degrees in organizational management. JBU offers the Advance Program in Northwest Arkansas, Little Rock, and Fort Smith.
