GANGS TO BE DISCUSSED IN JOHN BROWN UNIVERSITY CHAPEL
Siloam Springs, Ark (February 29, 1996) - Steve Nawojczyk (Na-VOY-check), featured speaker for March 12th chapel services, comes to John Brown University armed with over 20 years experience in death scene investigation. Chapel services begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Cathedral of the Ozarks, and are free and open to the public.
With a last career as coroner in two Arkansas counties and as former director of the Arkansas state crime laboratory, Nawojczyk shifted his focus to street gangs and other non-traditional independent youth groups in 1987.
Since then, he has appeared on the Phil Donahue Show, CNN's Larry King Live, CBS News Up to the Minute, CBS This Morning, syndicated show Tough Target, and various radio stations. He has also been featured in the New York Times and on HBO in the "America Undercover" series, Gang War: Bangin' in Little Rock, the 1994 CableAce award winner for best documentary.
Nawojczyk speaks regularly at dozens of conferences throughout the United States each year, and has been described as "answering so many questions and opening a world of concern."
