Siloam Springs, Ark. (January 10, 2005) - The John Brown University men’s team (10-3, 1-1 SAC) traveled to Oklahoma Christian Saturday evening. Despite junior Brandon Cole’s 25 points, the Golden were unable to pull off a win, losing 61-77 to the NAIA #3 ranked team in the nation.
Cole drained 5 treys for the night, helping him get his total of 25. He also had 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Seniors Ryan Woodson and Pat Smits added to the scoring with 10 and 9 respectively. Woodson also grabbed 7 rebounds. Oklahoma Christian had five players in double figures, with Jarrod Merrill leading the way with 19.
The men travel to Texas this week to take on Lubbock Christian on Thursday and Wayland Baptist on Saturday. The Golden Eagles return home Thursday, January 20th to take on Northwestern Oklahoma at 8:00 p.m.
