Terry Breaks Assists Record as JBU Beats Park
Siloam Springs, Ark. (December 9, 2004) — Junior Alex Terry broke the all time career assist record of 409 Thursday night, helping JBU men pull away with a win against the Park University Pirates. The 78-61 win moves the Golden Eagles to 8-2 for the season as they go into the Christmas break.
The JBU men controlled the game from the beginning, starting the game with a three from Brandon Cole off an assist by Alex Terry. The Eagles never lost the lead, going into halftime up by 18, and never looking back, ending the game with a 17 point advantage.
Junior Brandon Cole led scoring for JBU with 17, with freshman Steve Briggs close behind with 16. Cole, Briggs, and sophomore Adam Workman all had four 3-pointers for the night. Senior Reyjavick De Gracia led the team in rebounds with 8.
The Golden Eagles will open up their conference play at home on January 6th against Southern Nazarene at 8:00 p.m.
