Siloam Springs, Ark. (September 14, 2004) - The JBU Golden Eagles extend their record to 12-0 against College of the Ozarks. The game began with a rough start by the Golden Eagles. Their hitting and serving errors helped C of O win the first game 31-29. The Golden Eagles lowered their errors during the second game, winning 32-30. By the third game, the Golden Eagles were playing consistently and were able to run a powerful offense, hitting .438 as a team. JBU continued playing well into the fourth game and won 30-26. After the match, Coach Robyn Gordon said, “It was obvious we hadn’t had any competition in over a week. We started the match flat and it took us a few games to get our rhythm back. This game was a good opportunity to work through some problems before the Bronco Volleyball Premier in Hastings, Nebraska this weekend.” Team leaders include Junior Elisa Evans with 16 kills, Sophomore Brittany Moon-Battung with 3 aces, Senior Meghann Wharton with 3 blocks, and Junior Christine Wells with 31 digs.
