Pollard Begins Presidency at JBU
Siloam Springs, Ark. (June 30, 2004) — Dr. Charles W. Pollard begins his tenure as the sixth president of John Brown University tomorrow morning. He and his family come to JBU from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich. Dr. Pollard is a well-rounded and respected attorney, teacher, and scholar. His rich knowledge and broad experience promise to enhance JBU’s vision and mission. “My family and I are excited to be in Siloam Springs ” Pollard said. “We look forward to becoming a part of the JBU family as well as playing an active part in the local community.” Dr. Pollard will spend the next few months meeting with faculty, staff, board members, alumni, church and community leaders to begin to identify future priorities and projects for JBU. Dr. Pollard and his wife, Carey, have four children, Chad, 17, Benjamin, 14, Emma, 11, and James, 7.
