Ozark fugitive goes to court

(April 7, 2004) — (Clinton-AP) -- One of two fugitives who eluded law officers in the Ozark Mountains for nearly two weeks is expected in court today. William J- Frazier was picked up in Johnson County over the weekend and transferred to the Van Buren County jail in Clinton yesterday. Law officers tried to serve warrants March 22nd on the 28-year-old Frazier and 49-year-old Mark Holsombach at their ramshackle cabin near Alread. They say the pair fired on them, hitting a state trooper in the arm before the pair fled into the woods. Police also wanted to question the men about the disappearance of Ted and Ann Throneberry. Holsombach and Ann Throneberry were picked up together Friday in Newton County. Bond for Holsombach was set at one million dollars for on an attempted capital murder charge and 25-thousand dollars on a weapons charge. Throneberry's bond was set at 700-thousand dollars. Ted Throneberry remains missing.
