Reward offered in Ozarks manhunt

(March 25, 2004) — (Alread-AP) -- Police are offering a one-thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of two fugitives who escaped a police cordon in Van Buren County this week. Bill Beach of the Arkansas State Police says the targets of the three-day search aren't thought to have a political agenda or anti-government beliefs. Beach said police spent yesterday talking with out-of-state family members of the suspects -- 49-year-old convicted felon Mark Holsombach and 28-year-old William J. Frazier. The two are wanted in the shooting of a state trooper and for questioning in their neighbors' disappearance. Federal agents withdrew from the hunt yesterday as state and local officers scoured a mountain for the men.
