Siloam Springs, Ark (February 5, 2002) - John Brown University will host its annual career fair Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The career fair, which will feature prominent employers such as Tyson, Wal-Mart, Arvest Banks and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is sponsored by the Career Development Center at JBU and will be held in the new Pat and Willard Walker Student Center of the campus of JBU.
Dan Noyes, director of career development at JBU, said that this year’s career fair is even more crucial for job-seeking students than in past years.
“With the events of the recent past and the current economic struggles we are all experiencing, it is more important than ever that our students are pro-active in seeking opportunities after graduation,” Noyes said. “One of the most important aspects of the job search is to take every opportunity to meet potential employers face to face, and a career fair is an excellent opportunity for recruiters and job seekers to connect in a manner that resumes, e-mails and phone conversations cannot replace."
