NW Arkansas troops return from Iraq
(March 15, 2004) — (Highfill-AP) -- With three thousand Arkansas soldiers on their way to Iraq, some reserve units are headed home from the Middle East. Sixty three members of the U-S Army Reserve are home in Highfill -- four them earned Purple Hearts. Reservists with the 362nd Tactical Psychological Operation Company landed at Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport at Highfill after 14 months of supporting the active-duty 4th Infantry near Tikrit. In Iraq, the 362nd, called ``PsyHogs,'' blared messages from loudspeakers on their vehicles advising enemies to ``surrender or be annihilated,'' delivered fresh water and antibiotics to impoverished villagers and aided in the capture of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. Back in Arkansas, they're ready to spend time with family, jobs and classes.
