Siloam Springs, Ark (March 13, 2002) - John Brown University is proud to present a new exhibit of exceptional artwork featuring the artists of DaySpring Cards Company of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. This exhibit will feature the work of 19 artists and will include a wide variety of paintings, photography and sculpture.
The exhibit will be on the second floor of the Chapman Administration Building in the Jesse Jones Concourse Gallery at JBU. The exhibit opens on Wednesday, March 27 and runs through Friday, April 12. It is open during the week 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
John Brown University and DaySpring Cards have enjoyed an excellent relationship for many years. DaySpring hires JBU graduates and interns, and a number of DaySpring artists have taught as adjunct instructors for the JBU Department of Art & Design.
“We are very fortunate to have such a wealth of quality talent located in our community. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to display the wide variety of creative works by these fine artists. We also appreciate the close bond between DaySpring and the John Brown University Department of Art & Design,” said Charles Peer associate professor of art at JBU.
The community is invited to an Open House and Reception on Thursday, March 28, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Jones Concourse Gallery. DaySpring artists will be available at this time to discuss their work.
