Coordinator of Donor Stewardship
Position summary
Responsible for creating high quality donor communications for the development team at JBU. Works closely with the development team staff. Works independently.

Position responsibilities
- Sets objectives and accomplishes them without need for constant follow up.
- Designs, produces, and manages stewardship reports for JBU donors.
- Creates and edits proposals for prospective JBU donors.
- Creates and edits the Inner Circle newsletter.
- Designs, creates, and/or edits materials for use with the Master Builders society, the JBU Leadership Circle, the JBU Scholarship Fund, and other fundraising projects upon request.
- Writes other miscellaneous information (letters, fliers, posters, etc.) for the development team as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential skills and experience
- Must have excellent writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Fifty words per minute keyboarding.
- Experience with publication and layout programs preferred (i.e. Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Publisher)
- Project oriented, with ability to move multiple projects forward simultaneously.
- Ability to edit materials and initiate/create various reports and articles.
- Work with a team; work independently; self-starter.
Preferred skills and experience
- A variety of previous experiences will be considered. Experience in writing, graphic design, project management, and in working within a fast paced environment will be helpful.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required.

Physical demands and work environment
- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; stand; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
