This major is a challenging program designed for students who want to work with youth, specifically through the use of music.
In this major, students not only learn theory and practice of the voices, instruments and technology used in modern worship ministry, but also topics concerning the education, Christian formation, counseling, development and family dynamics of today's adolescents. Classes cover youth culture, critical concerns with adolescents, musicianship and worship arts in order to give students a foundational understanding of both youth culture and music methods.
This major provides an extensive system of training that gives the opportunity for students to acquire and develop their skills in ministry through involvement in internships and other hands-on experience opportunities. Students are encouraged to get involved with the Siloam Springs and JBU community through service projects, campus ministries and volunteer programs.
