JBU Announces First Step Towards Nursing Program

John Brown University announced this week that it has begun steps towards creating a nursing program after receiving unanimous prerequisite approval Wednesday from the Arkansas State Board of Nursing in Little Rock. Gift for Pre-Nursing Program, New Nursing Facility

John Brown University announced today a $6 million lead gift for a new nursing education facility and endowment for JBU’s new pre-nursing program. The gift is part of the approximately $10 million amount that will be raised to launch the nursing program, including $6 million in construction costs and $4 million to endow operations and facility maintenance.  (Read More)


Caring Cohort: JBU Launches Healthcare Program

A natural fit for JBU’s service-focused students, JBU took the first steps toward creating a nursing program in 2011. Much progress has been made. This fall 35 students arrived and became the first pre-nursing cohort, working to complete their prerequisites during their freshman and sophomore years. (Read More)
