Russell Hixson '12

Russell Hixson worked as a reporter at daily newspapers in Oklahoma and Washington before joining an industry publication in Vancouver, B.C. In 2013, he received a first place award in investigative reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists for the Northwest for exposing a decade of corruption at the worst gun store in America. “While writing at JBU, I learned to always get the facts right,” said Hixson.
