Graphic Design Facilities
The graphic design program is housed in the amazing Visual Arts facilities - Windgate Art East & West: two large buildings in the center of campus with over 36,000 sq. ft and every resource a graphic design student needs. Students have 24-hour access to both buildings.
Graphic Design Classrooms
We have two similarly configured classrooms for Graphic Design in Art West, as well as a multipurpose classroom in Art East. We use these rooms for design work, lecture/discussion and critique of student work. In some classes the student work is printed, matted and hung on the cork-board wall for critique. In other classes the work is saved as electronic files on the school network, and critiqued through the use of the large screen television or projector.
The third floor of Windgate Visual Arts West has two Mac computer labs and both labs have 24 work stations plus an instructor's cart and projector. They are equipped with the latest software including the full Adobe Creative Suite 6, Apple Final Cut Suite, Avid, Maya, Vue Infinite, ZBrush, Blender, SketchUp, 3D Studio, Mudbox and Lightroom. There are programs for every art student's need.
Art students have 24-hour access to these two labs. Both labs are used for classes, but when classes are not in session, the labs are open for student use.
