Darren Gould is a media professional who came to JBU in 2009 from Los Angeles. He brings with him more than 20 years of experience directing, producing and editing media for television, video, audio and the Web in Chicago, Salt Lake City and southern California. He has experience in producing, directing, editing, motion graphics, and cinematography. His multimedia work includes website design, coding and maintenance as well as e-commerce. 

Mr. Gould's broadcast work has appeared on Good Morning America, Dr. Phil, and The Oprah Winfrey Show. His clients have included ABC News, American Telecast, Honeywell, Steven K. Scott, the American Red Cross, David C. Cook Publishing, Meggit Target Systems, Health Media International, IHOP, the Sundance Film Festival and The History Channel. He has received numerous awards, including the Communication Award of Excellence, the Aurora Platinum Best of Show Award, the Aurora Gold Award, the Society of Professional Journalists Award for feature editing, the Silver Screen Award at the U.S. International Film and Video Festival, and three Telly Awards for directing.

Mr. Gould also worked as post-production coordinator for the 168 Project, a Christian Film Festival based in Los Angeles, and has directed the live 168 Project Awards Show in Burbank, CA every year since 2008. He has served media mission work in Colorado Springs, CO, Los Angeles, CA,  and at the Tokyo 2010 Global Missions Conference in Tokyo, Japan. He enjoys working with students on live coverage of the JBU home basketball games, and loves to design and build media systems -- he engineered and designed the control room in Bill George Arena, and recently upgraded the LRC TV control room as well.

Mr. Gould earned his B.A. and M.A. in Communication from Wheaton College in Illinois. He enjoys media, electronics and spending time with his family, which includes his wife, Kara Jolliff Gould, and their twin daughters.
