Staff

My name is Brooke Huizenga, and I am the Resident Director of Walker Hall.  I grew up in Fremont, Nebraska, and attended a high school set in the middle of a corn field.  In 2007, I graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration/Marketing emphasis.  Before coming to John Brown University, I worked as an admissions counselor for Northwestern traveling around the Midwest. 

During my time as a student at Northwestern, I was involved in a variety of activities including: Campus Ministry, domestic and international mission trips, student activities, tutoring, along with a few others.  I spent 2 months in France in the summer of 2006 and saw God’s deep love for people and for other cultures and discovered my deep love for them as well. 

I have a strong desire to see students grow holistically-spiritually, emotionally, socially, intellectually- to become obedient servants of Christ.  Through living in the community of JBU and Walker Hall, I hope to see students encouraged and challenged to live radical lives for our Savoir.  It is truly an honor that the Lord has placed me in this role as I walk with students through this season of their lives.
