Tracy Balzer

Director of Christian Formation

Tracy's job includes working with Rod on chapel; helping out with Women's Ministries and Graduate Christian Fellowship; developing Christian formation initiatives for JBU staff, faculty, and Advance students (adult degree completion); mentoring; and teaching about spiritual disciplines. She summarizes it by saying that she just wants to help students and staff, “connect with God in meaningful, life-changing ways."

Her interests include studying Celtic Christianity, visiting tea rooms and ancient monasteries in the UK, calligraphy, journaling, and talking about books and movies. Tracy received her undergraduate degree from Seattle Pacific University, and her Masters of Ministry degree from John Brown University. Her husband, Cary, is a Prof in the Department of Biblical Studies. The other important people in her life are their daughters, Kelsey, a freshman at JBU, and Langley, 12.
