Facilities

The Archives Office is located on the second floor of the LRC building. We currently run our services out of four rooms, and are hoping to expand and improve our facilities in the near future.

  • The Coordinator's Office serves primarily as a processing room, where donations and acquisitions are sorted and catalogued. Visitors are welcome to stop by any time during open hours, but are encouraged to call ahead.
  • The Display Room exhibits a number of pieces from the archives' special collections and houses all the photograph and slide files.
  • The Work/Storage Room is where the vast majority of our boxed artifacts are kept. Professors, students, and employees alike spend hundreds of hours at the desk in this room researching and maintaining our collections of publications, fabrics, artifacts, oversized items, LPs, reel-to-reels, and special collections.
  • The Reading Room houses most of the archives' book collections. Its quiet setting is available as a conference room for the JBU community upon reservation with the Library circulation desk or the Archives Office.
