Walton International Scholars Program (WISP)

The Walton International Scholarship Program provides a quality education for the brightest and most capable students from Central America and Mexico. After studying in a democratic environment and being exposed to the principles of free enterprise at work, students are required to return to their home countries.

The goal of the Walton International Scholarship Program is to provide the leadership necessary to strengthen democracy and improve living conditions throughout the region.

Now in the 19th year, the program is a resounding success. More than 700 students have completed bachelor’s degrees and returned home, where the value of an American education is unmistakable. We are privileged at JBU to be one of the three Arkansas schools to be chosen to host the Walton International Scholarship Program.
