Bob & Janice Stuck
Missionaries in Residence

Hi, I’m Bob Stuck. I am greatly enjoying the privilege of being on staff at JBU in the Missionaries-in-Residence position. I grew up as a missionary kid in the jungle of Ecuador. My parents were missionaries to the Shuar Indians. I met my wife Janice at college and a few years later we joined GMU (now Avant Ministries) and went back to Ecuador to work with the Shuar Indians helping in discipleship and leadership training. My passion is reaching the lost and seeing the national church mature. I love fishing and basketball. Janice and I have three children: Jonathan, Lauren and Kyle.

Hi, I’m Janice, and I’m also enjoying being part of the MIR team. I grew up in California. I really did not know what a missionary did until I went to a Christian University. Around the time I felt the Lord leading me towards missions I met Bob. I was excited to return with him to Ecuador to work with the Shuar Indians. Two of our three children were born in a small missionary hospital on the edge of the jungle. My passions are women’s ministries and encouraging missionary kids. I enjoy playing tennis and making cards.

We love opening our home and hearts to MK’s. We are enjoying having large groups of MKs over for dinner, one on one time with individual MK’s and stuffing boxes with brownies and notes. Our desire is to be an encouragement and a friend.

Come see us in our office in Student Development WSC 139. We would enjoy talking with you.
