Personal Information
As Director of International Programs at JBU my work allows me to do what I love: create a global learning environment for university students. I am pleased that during my time at JBU our international program has become one of the top within the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.
My life has followed quite a circuitous route-starting with my early childhood in Northern Ireland, moving to South Korea, and ultimately to the United States. My own intercultural experiences have made me uniquely aware of the struggles and challenges that face students studying in different countries.
Within the campus community, I oversee international student programs, study abroad opportunities, and all international mission projects. In addition to my administrative duties I teach in the department of intercultural studies. I am a member of the National Association of Foreign Student Educators (NASFA) and a past president of Christian Higher Education Professionals Serving Students (CHEPSIS). I am also on the board of directors of Project Evangelism International and a member of Gideons International.
