My name is Annie Tharp, and I am the International and MK admissions counselor at John Brown University. I graduated from JBU in 2004 with a degree in Children and Family Ministries.
I am an MK myself from Moscow, Russia. My parents are teachers at Hinkson Christian Academy, an MK school in Moscow. I chose to come to JBU because of all that we offer for MKs, and because as soon as I came to visit the campus, I saw that JBU was truly a Christian university. The people here love God and wanted to help me grow spiritually and mentally.
JBU is very much apart of my family. My sister, Emily recently graduated from JBU with a degree in Intercultural Studies. I also found my wonderful husband here at John Brown. I married Paul Tharp, a mechanical engineering major, on January 1, 2005.
I love working at John Brown and getting to know new students and
learning about different cultures.
