Irish Family & Human Studies
Dates: May, 2014
Cost: TBD
Greetings. The Family and Human Services Irish studies program is open to all Majors and Minors in Family and Human Services. The trip will be four weeks (give or take a wee bit) and will take place the majority of May 2014.
During the trip students will receive credit for two courses: Family Communication and Intercultural Family Seminar. We will spend the majority of our time in Northern Ireland living, touring, and serving among the people. Our studies will focus on the impact of religion on the family, cultural variations in family, existential expressions of meaning associated with individuality and togetherness, etc.
The trip will be led by Dr. Ogle and his wife Emily along with their two boys, Tenney (6) and Sully (3). This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to study abroad in one of the most beautiful places on earth with what is expected to be a connected and authentic team.
