Jordan Studies Program
Dates: June 17 - August 2, 2010
Cost: $5200
Spend your summer working with an archaeological excavation in Jordan uncovering the ancient city of Abila of the Decapolis (http://www.abila.org/). In addition to the excavation we’ll travel all around Jordan – float in the Dead Sea, scramble around Petra, scuba dive in the Red Sea, ride a Roman chariot in Jerash, camp in the desert of Wadi Rum, but don’t eat bacon at Gadara (Jesus cast demons into the pigs there!) Visit places of interest both for Biblical and modern history. In the process you’ll earn up to 9 hours of course credit and fulfill your Global Studies requirement. Optional trips to Israel and Egypt are possible. Have the adventure of a lifetime, and earn course credit in the process! Join us for the Jordan Summer Studies Program.
