Graduation Requirements
- All students must complete a program of study that meets the academic policies set by the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies before becoming eligible for graduation.
- The following graduation requirements apply to all master's degree programs.
NOTE: Particular degree programs may have additional requirements. It is the responsibility of the student to determine and meet all academic and graduation requirements for the degree he or she seeks.
In order to graduate, each student must:
- Satisfactorily complete requirements for the specific graduate program for which the student is enrolled within the time designated in the catalog, following acceptance as a graduate student. In the case of extenuating circumstances, a petition for extension of time will be considered by the department.
- Applicable transfer credit up to nine semester hours from an accredited institution may be applied to a master's degree. Transfer credit (with a grade of "B" or higher) must normally be completed within the specified period allowed for the completion of the degree requirements and must be approved for transfer by the department.
- Maintain cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. If a student's cumulative grade point average falls below 3.0, the department will review the student's status and may make appropriate recommendations for continuance in the degree program or remove the student from the degree program.
- Maintain professional and personal standards as outlined in the Graduate Student Guide. Failure to maintain these standards may result in removal from the degree program.
- Submit an Application for Graduation.
- Pay the required $35 graduation fee to the Business Office.
