1. Where are the Graduate Business programs offered?
Both the MBA and MSLE programs are offered at the Fort Smith Center and the Rogers Center. In addition, courses are offered for Wal-Mart associates at the Sam Walton Development Center in Bentonville.

2. Is there an application deadline?
While the Business degrees do not have firm application deadlines, we suggest that you apply at least six weeks prior to the beginning of your first course to allow ample time for transcript evaluation and recommendation forms.

3. How long will it take to get my degree?
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Leadership & Ethics (MSLE) degrees can be completed in two years, which includes summer classes.

4. Are the programs accredited?
Yes. John Brown University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The Graduate Business Programs are accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).

5. How is the program structured?
Each course is eight weeks long, so you enroll in two courses per semester, and attend year around.

6. What can graduates do with an MSLE (Leadership & Ethics) degree?
Graduates with an MSLE degree come from various walks of life. Nurses, business professionals, educators, and others have all completed the MSLE program. The MSLE degree empowers students with the ability to further their current occupation by giving them the necessary tools to advance their potential in leadership skills. Many graduates from the program have been offered promotions and advancements. Others have been empowered to pursue the career they have always desired. The MSLE allows students to explore their potential, giving them the opportunity to challenge themselves to go to the next level in their personal and professional life.

7. What is the class size in business courses?
18-20 students, on average.

8. Do I have to take an entrance exam?
Students must complete the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), the Miller Analogies Test (MAT), or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). A combination of test score, undergraduate grade point average and credit for up to three years' work experience is used to determine eligibility for admission into Graduate Business programs.

9. Is financial aid available?
Financial assistance is available in the form of assistantships, fellowships, and student loans.

10. Do you accept transfer credit from another institution?
A maximum of nine hours from another institution can be applied toward a Graduate Business Degree. All transferred hours must be applicable toward the degree and approved by the Graduate Business program director.

11. Is work experience required for a Graduate Business degree?
While work experience is not required, it is helpful in the completion of an MBA or MSLE degree.

12. Is a computer required for a Graduate Business degree?
Although a computer is helpful in the completion of any degree, it is not required for either of the Graduate Business degrees. However, all e-mail communications will be sent to each student's JBU email account.

13. Are Graduate Business courses offered online?
Because we believe face-to-face interaction with both faculty and fellow students is one of the most valuable facets of our MBA and MSLE programs, no Graduate Business courses are offered online.
