Project EQUIP
Overview
Project EQUIP (Enhancing Quality Undergirding Improved Performance) is a National Professional Development grant designed to improve the quality of teachers of EL students. As a recipient of this grant, JBU has partnered with selected schools in NWA to provide coursework for teachers to earn an ESL endorsement. The grant pays all costs for the coursework and other professional development activities and teachers receive a $500 stipend upon completion of the coursework and Praxis exam required for ESL endorsement. For a printable brochure, click here: Project EQUIP Brochure .
Of the 15 hours required for the ESL endorsement, 12 hours can be applied toward JBU's M.Ed., Curriculum and Instruction: TESOL concentration. To request more information about Project EQUIP and JBU's graduate programs, click here: Request Information
