Barry Wingfield is a native of North Little Rock, Arkansas. A graduate of Central Arkansas Christian, he earned his bachelors degree in Religion from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, his masters degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce in Counseling, and his doctorate from the University of Louisiana-Monroe with a major in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Dr. Wingfield has practiced in a variety of mental health settings including acute adolescence, acute geriatric, outpatient individual and outpatient family settings. His previous work in ministry includes pastoral positions in youth ministry, college ministry, and family ministry in Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana. His most recent pastoral work was as a Teaching Pastor at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship church in Sherwood.

Barry is an Arkansas Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, holding the Supervision and Technology-Assisted Specializations for both licenses. He has presented at state and national professional conferences as well as for churches and community organizations. His academic teaching history includes distance based graduate counseling as well adjunct work for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in addition to adjunct work at John Brown University.

He is proudest of his marriage of 25 years to Alicia and his three children, Daniel and daughter-in-law Katherine, Mikaila, and Jeremiah. His pastimes include dating his wife, Biblical History and Holy Land studies, reading about World War II, travel, gardening, and fitness training.
