After arriving at the Embassy, we had to wait awhile in the bus while our identity was validated and approved. Once we were allowed inside, security was very tight, and one of my classmates even had her pedometer held because it was considered electronics. The extra security made me feel safer for myself and those who represent our country. The entryway was very modern with colorful sculptures and pictures of our top elected officials.
The Department of Commerce presentation was interesting. My favorite part of the presentation was when he spoke about his personal experiences living in China. I also enjoyed the stories he told about the challenges and differences between the two countries.
