Amanda Echegoyan Bio - JBU Graduate Studies
Amanda Echegoyan, MS, John Brown University
Amanda Echegoyan wanted a graduate program that was in line with her faith and beliefs and, according to Amanda, "JBU certainly fit the bill!"
With a Master of Science in Leadership and Ethics, Amanda is able to fulfill her responsibilities as an office manager with a greater awareness of the skills needed to be an effective and ethical leader. "Ethical leaders are in high demand in every career field, and I felt that the courses and opportunities at JBU would provide me with a solid foundation in leadership and ethics that will open many doors in the future," says Amanda.
Amanda especially appreciated the schedule of JBU's graduate business programs. She was able to keep her full-time job while taking classes in the evening and still finish in the time that other programs take. Another aspect of the program she found advantageous was the experience of the instructors. "They have all had so many experiences in their respective workplaces, and their willingness to share what they have learned in the real world truly enhanced what we read in textbooks."
One of the highlights of Amanda's time in graduate school at JBU was when she participated in a Graduate Studies trip to Guatemala. "It was a great chance to apply what we had learned in the classroom to the world. Our experiences in Guatemala were interesting and relevant from an educational, spiritual and social standpoint."
"Not only did JBU's MS in Leadership and Ethics program prepare me for a wide variety of career opportunities, but it also gave me the opportunity to network with fellow classmates who represent a diverse cross section of careers and companies. Receiving my education from John Brown University was a great experience as well as great preparation!"
