Admissions Requirements

Admission requirements vary by program. Please visit the admissions requirement link under the program that you are interested in for requirements.

To be eligible for any of John Brown University’s graduate degree programs, you will need the following in addition to specific requirements for the program of your interest:

All Students:

  1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  2. Complete and submit a Graduate Application
  3. Submit a $35 application fee
  4. Three letters of recommendation
  5. Essay describing your professional plans and reason for seeking acceptance into the program (200 words)
  6. Copies of official university transcripts for all college work completed
  7. Official test scores - Graduate tests and minimum scores are different for every program.
    • GRE
    • MAT
    • GMAT

International Students: All United States requirements plus

  1. Transcripts that have been translated into English
  2. Official TOEFL test score of 550 or above
  3. Deposit for one year – student must make a deposit to the university covering the cost of tuition for one year, the deposit is 100% refundable if the student does not enroll.
  4. Non-refundable application fee of $100
  5. Health insurance
