Checklist
This checklist applies to US citizens. For a complete list of documents required by international students, click here: International Student Admissions Requirements
- Complete the Online Application and 200-word essay and pay the application fee ($35 for US citizens; $100 for international students). If paying by credit card via JBU's secure server, be sure to click the "submit payment now" button on the payment confirmation screen to submit your payments. Check and money orders should be sent to The Graduate School, 2000 W. University, Siloam Springs, AR 72761.

Application Status
Once you have submitted your application and application fee, you will receive confirmation e-mails verifying that they have been received. Your file is complete upon receipt of the application, application fee, official transcripts, letters of recommendation, essay and the official entrance exam score report (if necessary). It will then go to your Program Director for review and action and finally to the Graduate Dean for final approval and acceptance. Students are admitted to graduate study under one of the following statuses:
Regular Status. Admission to regular status requires both (a) an undergraduate grade point average of 2.7 or higher (4.0=A) or an overall grade point average of 2.5 but with a 3.0 or higher in the last 60 semester hours earned toward the bachelor's degree, and (b) fulfillment of entrance exam requirements.
Provisional Status. An applicant who does not meet all the criteria for regular admission status but who demonstrates potential for success in a graduate program may be admitted under provisional status. Appropriate graduate credit earned while in this status will apply toward fulfilling degree requirements. If the applicant satisfactorily completes the first 12 semester hours with at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and receives the recommendation of the program director, regular status will be granted; otherwise, the student will be dismissed.
