Creative Ways to Give

A Will or Revocable Trust

  • Many wonderful gifts come to the University because thoughtful and generous alumni and friends took the time to remember JBU in their will or revocable trust. We can help you with the language to include JBU in you will or trust, and even help you through the complete process.
  • Planning for your loved ones' special needs such as health care, education, and guardianship can be assured through these gift planning options.
  • A will bequest is simple and lasting. Wishes for loved ones and charitable organizations are protected through the plans outlined in your will. Your bequest is deductible for federal estate tax, as well as providing state death tax savings (varying from state to state). Consulting with a competent attorney is crucial in order to ensure your will is properly drawn and executed according to the laws of your state.
  • The revocable living trust allows you to change your trust to accommodate the changes in your life or the needs of your loved ones. Its establishment allows transfer of assets of almost any kind, revocation at the donors request, avoidance of probate, faster distribution, reduction of administrative expenses, and assurance of privacy.
