Types of Loans Available:
Federal Direct Loan - The government (Direct Loans) is the lender.
Perkins Loan - This is a federal student loan program.
Federal Parent PLUS Loan - The government (Direct Loans) is the lender.
Alternative Loans - Credit-based student loans through a Bank or Lending institution.
May require a co-signer depending on the student's credit.
Interest rates are variable and depend on the borrower's and/or cosigner's credit.
Deferred until student graduates or drops below half-time; some lenders will offer a six month grace period as well.

JBU reports information for students that borrow to the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS). Guaranty agencies, lenders, and schools determined to be authorized users of the data system can access this information.
