Retreats: Fall
Fall Breakaway
Now a fall tradition at JBU, every year hundreds of students take off for a weekend away from campus. It's a perfect time to get to know people you haven't yet met, refocus on the Lord, and rest after a busy midterm week.
Fall Breakaway 2012 will be at New Life Ranch September 21-22. The theme this year is Wrestling with God.
Sign ups begin September 4 outside Kresge Dining Hall and in Walker Student Center. Cost is $10.
Transportation, lodging, and food are provided.
Retreats: Spring
Women's Retreat
Every February, female students at JBU embark on a two-day retreat for the purposes of spiritual growth, nurturing friendships, and getting away from the pressures of studies. An especially wise woman (or two) will come along to speak to the group about what it means to be women of God.
Special activities are planned for the purposes of fostering creativity, prayer, and physical health. But most of all, the retreat is a great time to just be. The retreat planning committee works hard to make sure the cost is affordable for everyone, knowing that all busy women need to get away for reflection and refreshment.
Questions may be directed to Women's Ministry or Lisa Corry, Assistant Director of Discipleship.
Men's Retreat
The men's retreat is an opportunity for the MEN of JBU to connect on a deeper level. We want to address relevant issues concerning our spiritual development as we seek to be an important part of the leadership on this campus. We have been called by God to be leaders, and this weekend will be a time to further develop the character and integrity that are vital for this role. It will be a great time to get away from campus to worship, to fellowship, and to grow deeper in our walk with the Lord as we have FUN! Did we mention FUN…'cause there will be lots of it.
If you are interested in going, or if you would just like more information, please contact Men's Ministry or Frank Huebert, Director of Discipleship.
