Adjunct Instructor, Graduate Business
Principal, The Carpenter Group, LLC
B.S., Warren National University
As an instructor for Leading Change: Mission, Vision, Values, Maxie Carpenter brings the experience he gained as Walmart's first corporate Operations Coordinator for the Western United States. As an instructor for Building Teams, he brings the experience he gained as the Vice President of both the People and Training & Development Divisions at Walmart. And, as an instructor for Foundations of Leadership and Ethics in Organizations, Maxie brings the overall experience he's had as an ethical leader in one of the largest companies in America.
How does Maxie bring his experience to the classes he teaches? By bringing experiential perspectives alongside the course materials in a way that influences students to think cognitively about parallels, context, and tranference of applications to their personal and professional environments. It's his mission in life to transfer experiential knowledge in order to encourage as many people as he can to succeed . . . that he's able to do that in a Christian environment like JBU is a bonus, he says.
