Assistant Professor of Teacher Education
M.Ed., John Brown University
B.S., Missouri Southern State University
After twelve years in public education, Mrs. Trombley is grateful and excited for her new calling in Higher Education. She and her family relocated to Northwest Arkansas from Southwest Missouri in 2009. Since that time she and her husband, Justin, have both earned degrees at JBU.
Mrs. Trombley completed her Undergraduate degree with a BSE in Elementary Education from Missouri Southern State University and her Master’s Education in Curriculum and Instruction at John Brown University. She knew this was the place God was calling her even before she completed the program. Before this, Mrs. Trombley has taught second, third, and fourth grade in both Missouri and Northwest Arkansas, and then spent the last six years as an Academic Literacy and Social Studies Facilitator for Rogers Public Schools at Janie Darr Elementary. She has extensive training in Literacy, Special Education, ESOL, and Cooperative Learning.
Mrs. Trombley is loving her new position at John Brown University because she knows she is training up the next generation of teachers to be ready to teach and grow children both academically and spiritually. The environment and support our staff and students receive here at JBU makes this such a special place to learn and grow. The one thing Professor Trombley would like her education students to know about teaching is that the calling to teach is a special calling that comes with great responsibility and even greater joy. There is nothing better than the joy of students and the gaining of knowledge.
