Dr. Moore joined the business faculty in 2006 and has taught classes at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Prior to teaching, she worked for the Soderquist Center for Leadership & Ethics where she coordinated training programs for some of the Center's largest corporate customers.
Dr. Moore received her B.S.B.A. and M.B.A from John Brown University and recently completed a doctorate at the University of Arkansas where she is studied higher education with an emphasis in college teaching. She likes teaching at JBU because of the high expectations placed on students and faculty. She also appreciates the focus on head, heart and hand and believes that the most valuable learning takes place when students study a subject and integrate it with their values and faith.
Professor Moore has received numerous awards through her efforts in helping students write business plans for the Reynolds Governor's Cup Business Plan Competition. Her teams have won over $130,000 during the past three years. Additionally, Professor Moore was voted the "Rookie of the Year" in 2007. This award is given to one faculty member from the honors program. Instructor Moore has completed faculty development programs at the University of South Carolina's Moore School of Business in International Marketing and at Xiamen University in Chinese Business Practices through the CCCU.
Dr. Moore met her husband Bryson during the first day of class at JBU when she was a freshman. While students, Mandy and Bryson were instrumental in developing the ADVANCE Guatemala SIFE mission trip with Dr. Walenciak. Mandy and Bryson love to host students in their home.
