According to the Gallup-Purdue study released today, when it comes to career engagement and a sense of well-being after commencement, college grads are greatly influenced by their connectedness with their professors.
One of the report's big takeaways: “College graduates ... had double the chances of being engaged in their work and were three times as likely to be thriving in their well-being if they connected with a professor on the campus who stimulated them, cared about them, and encouraged their hopes and dreams,” Scott Carlson wrote in today's Chronicle of Higher Education.
At John Brown University, we agree that faculty are a major key in the success of our graduates. That's why our instructors are carefully selected for not only their knowledge and experience in a particular subject, but for their commitment to Christian higher education. Our faculty know their stuff and they care – about your education, your success, and your spiritual growth.
Today, as we observe National Teacher Day, we celebrate the exceptional men and women who teach in JBU's Degree Completion Program. Thank you for your commitment to our students!
