ADMISSION
Admission Requirements - Business Administration major
Applicants desiring to major in Business Administration (BSBA) must have 60 hours of transferable credit, as determined by John Brown University, with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better on the 4.0 scale.
Application Process. Applicants to the BSBA Program must submit:
1. Application for Admission accompanied by $25 application fee
2. Official copies of transcripts from all colleges attended
All materials should be sent to the appropriate Admissions Counselor.
Admission Requirements - Organizational Management major
Applicants desiring to major in Organizational Management (OM) must be at least 23 years of age and have 60 hours of transferable credit, as determined by John Brown University, with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better on the 4.0 scale. Applicants also must have at least two years of relevant work experience.
Application Process. Applicants to the OM Program must submit:
1. Application for Admission accompanied by $25 application fee
2. Official copies of transcripts from all colleges attended
All materials should be sent to the appropriate Admissions Counselor.
Admission Requirements – Early Childhood Education major
Applicants desiring to major in Education (EDC) must be at least 23 years of age and have 60 hours of transferable credit, as determined by John Brown University, with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better on the 4.0 scale. Applicants must also submit recommendations from two people, have at least two years of formal or informal work experience and provide evidence of having experience with children.
To be accepted into the Education major, students must provide acceptable federal and state background checks, successfully complete the Praxis I exam series, and successfully complete the Praxis II Elementary Education: Content Knowledge exam.
EDC applicants may not register for the program if they have not successfully completed English I and II.
Application Process. Applicants to the EDC Program must submit:
1. Application for Admission accompanied by a $25 application fee
2. Official copies of transcripts from all colleges attended
3. References from two people (non-relatives)
4. Complete background check
5. Complete and pass Praxis I and II
All materials should be sent to the appropriate Admissions Counselor.

Applicants must have credit for courses in specific academic disciplines. Examples of these are:

* EDC Students must complete Arkansas History, Geography and American Government in order to fulfill Social/Behavioral Science requirements and to be eligible for a teaching license in the State of Arkansas.
Admission Requirements - Undeclared Major
A student who wants to enter one of our DCP majors and meets the other admission requirements of the associated DCP major, but does not yet have at least 60 hours of prior college credit can be admitted as an Undeclared major until the required 60 hours is reached. These students can take any JBU class as an elective (prerequisites must be met) as long as the intent is to reach 60 hours and then enroll in one of our DCP majors.
