Speed Limits, Traffic, and Parking Regulations

The speed limit in parking lots and Broadhurst Village is 10 mph and is posted as 15 or 25 mph on the remainder of the campus. These speed limits are enforced by Campus Safety.

Fines:

Group A Fines - $50.00

Fire Lane/Hydrant

Group B Fines - $40.00

Failure to Register Vehicle
Parking in Handicap Space

Group C Fines - $20.00

Faculty/Staff Lot
Grass/ Sidewalk
Loading Zone
No Parking Zone
Block Traffic/ Road

Group D - Moving Violations

Failure to Stop/ Yield
Speeding
Reckless/ Prohibited Driving

ALL FINES WILL BE DOUBLED FOR REPEAT VIOLATIONS

Citations must be presented for payment within 5 working days.

Fines can be paid in person at the Chapman Admin. Business Office front desk with cash, check, money order or credit card. Check or money order can also be sent to John Brown University Attention: Business Office, 2000 West University Street, Siloam Springs, Arkansas 72761. A copy of the citation(s) must accompany payment.

Appeal:
Students who believe they have circumstances that may excuse their parking or traffic fines can appeal within two weeks. Contact Campus Safety at (479) 524-7403.

Fines become automatic after two weeks and will be added to your student account.
