Fayetteville Netter Headed to JBU
Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 10, 2011) — Courtney Marshall, a 5-8 outside hitter from Fayetteville (Ark.) High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball at John Brown University next fall.
At Fayetteville High, Marshall was a three-year starter with high school accolades that include the following:

During her six-year club career, her teams also won numerous tournaments including becoming the Delta Region Qualifier Champions in 2009. She also served as team captain for three of her club teams.
JBU volleyball coach Stacie Johnson states that she’s excited to have Marshall join the program and expects her leadership skills and knowledge of the game to be an asset to the team.

is a good all-around player who has a powerful hit on the outside,” says
Johnson. “She has great game experience
and awareness that will be a valuable addition to the Lady Golden Eagles.
In addition to her outstanding career in volleyball, Marshall also excels in the classroom with a 4.04 GPA. The daughter of Alex and Angela Hedgepeth, Marshall plans to major is graphic design or business management.
