Texas Athlete Signs with JBU Soccer
Siloam Springs, Ark. (April 15, 2004) — Steven Aparicio, a center midfielder from Princeton, Texas has signed a letter of intent with JBU Coach Bob Gustavson to play soccer for John Brown University. Aparicio played high school soccer for Plano East High School and club soccer for 7 years with F.C. Lynx and the Texas Longhorns. Aparicio earned honors as MVP on his team for three years and was 1st team All-District for two years. Aparicio will transfer to JBU from Elon University where he has been a starting midfielder for the past two years.
“Steven is a very talented player possessing quickness with and without the ball,” said Gustavson. “He sees the field well and makes good decisions with the ball. I know he will improve our team with his love of the game and enthusiasm for playing. I am excited to have a player of his caliber joining us this fall. I know Steven will have an immediate positive impact on our team.”
Aparicio is the son of Oscar and Melody Aparicio of Princeton, Texas and plans to study Business Management at John Brown University.
