John Miglarese
Head Coach

John Miglarese (Mil-uh-REE-see) is entering his first year as head men’s soccer coach at JBU.

Prior to coming to JBU, Miglarese spent four seasons as head coach of Covenant College (Lookout Mountain, Ga.), which is a member of the NAIA’s Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).

In those four years, Miglarese accumulated an overall record of 39-31-5. Last season, his squad finished with a 10-8-2 record while reaching the AAC tournament championship. And in 2007, he guided his team to a 15-4-1 record, which included Miglarese receiving Conference and Region Coach of the Year honors after leading his team to a regular season AAC title, Region XII title, and NAIA National Tournament appearance.

Before his stint at Covenant, Miglarese served as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I Gardner-Webb University (N.C.) from 2003-2005. In 2002, he received his master’s degree in sports management while working as a graduate assistant at his alma mater Georgia Southern throughout the year. Prior to that, he served as an intern assistant for men's and women's soccer at Milligan College (Tenn.) in 2000.

As a player, Miglarese was a goalkeeper for Georgia Southern, including in 1996 when the Eagles were a Southern Conference finalist, and the 1997 season when the Eagles were ranked as high as No. 14 in Soccer America's national rankings.

The 30-year old Miglarese and his wife Jessica, and two children, four-year old John Marshall and two-year old Isabella, reside in Siloam Springs.
