Volleyball comes out of weekend with three wins, one loss

The Lady Eagles leave the College of the Ozarks Tournament in Branson, Mo. with a season record of 5-4 after winning three of their four matches this weekend.
The netters started the tournament with a loss against Midland (Neb.) 1-3 (19-25, 22-25, 16-25, 25-22). Erin McIlroy had 10 kills, leading JBU in that category. She was followed by Erin Didier with eight kills and Allie Rankin with six
Sarah Jordan led the team defensively with a total of 18 digs. Didier and Aubrey Adams followed with 12 digs and 10 digs respectively
Later that evening the Lady Eagles defeated McPherson (Kan.) 3-1 (25-18, 23-25, 25-12, 25-22). Rankin paced the team with 13 kills followed by Didier with eight kills and Stacie Williamson with seven kills.
Defensively, Kailey Bain led with 10 digs followed by Didier and Williamson who both had nine digs.
On Saturday the Lady Eagles received another win against Bethany (Kan.) 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-15). Rankin led the team in kills again with 10 total followed by Didier with 9 kills. Jordan led the defensively with 22 digs followed by Rankin and Didier each with 12 digs.
JBU played Illinois Tech. earning a 3-0 win (25-18, 25-17, 28-26). Didier and Rankin led the team in kills with 12 and 11 kills respectively. Jordan paced the team defensively with 12 digs followed by 11 digs by Williamson.
The Lady Eagles play again on Sept. 9, against Sterling (Kan.) at 1pm and Ottawa (Kan.) at 5pm as part of the the Baker University Invitational in Baldwin, Kan.
