Kerri Young begins her third year as the head coach for John Brown University's cheer squad.
Young participated on a National Cheerleader's Association (NCA) Dance national championship team in high school and went on to cheer from 1993-1997 at Hastings (Neb.), while completing her bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology. She served as choreographer/co-captain for three years.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Young worked in high school youth ministry until she and her husband moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2005.
In 2009, Young completed her master’s degree in ministry with an emphasis in higher education at JBU.
Young and her husband, Brent, who works as the JBU Graduate Business Recruiter, currently reside in Siloam Springs with their three children: Kenzie, Camden, and Dawson.
