Admissions

We know you're busy. That's why we try to make the admissions process as simple and pain-free as possible. Prior to enrollment, you'll have an Advance Program representative who will guide you through the admission process and answer all of your questions.

The first step is to schedule an appointment to meet with your representative, who can provide you with a preliminary credit evaluation and answer any questions you might have. Too busy to come to the office? We can visit with you by phone or e-mail, or we can meet you someplace that's convenient for you.

Returning to college can be intimidating, but we'll do what we can to make you comfortable and to answer all of your questions. Even if you don't think you currently qualify for the program, give us a call and let's talk about how to prepare you for admission.

Admissions Requirements

The JBU Advance Program is designed for working adults. There are three general admission requirements:

  1. 60 hours of transferable college credit
  2. 23 years of age or older
  3. Two years of relevant work experience

Other admission requirements, including grade point average and test scores, vary by degree program. Check with your Advance Program representative for additional requirements or look on the program website for detailed information.

New students, regardless of age or number of hours enrolled, are now required by Arkansas law to furnish proof of immunity against measles, mumps, and rubella.  MMR vaccination may be confirmed by an immunization record from a doctor's office, health department, or school records.  For more information, please contact your Advance Program representative.
