Spotlight Visit Days

On each Visit Day, we like to spotlight a particular program at JBU. For example, we have an Engineering Day and a Junior Day. That means if you are interested in Engineering, we have special sessions just for you! If you are interested in our music program, plan to come for our music audition days.

Can’t find a spotlight that fits you? That’s okay, we always offer our general sessions during all Visit Days.

  Oct. 22 - Texas Fly-In [ Visit Day Schedule*]
  Nov. 5 - Music Auditions
  Nov. 19 - Engineering Day
  Dec. 3 - Home-Educated Day
  Jan 21 - Music Auditions
  Feb. 18 - Music Auditions
  Apr. 14 - Junior Day

Texas Fly-In (Oct. 22)

The Texas Fly-In provides an opportunity for 30 students from the Dallas metro area to fly to JBU on Sunday evening, spend the night in the dorms, and experience all that a visit day has to offer, then fly back home for only $100. Call us now to reserve your seat!

Music Auditions (Nov. 5, Jan. 21, Feb. 18)

Do you love to sing or play and instrument? We want to hear you! Music audition days are the perfect opportunity for students interested in JBU’s Bachelor of Arts degrees in applied music (voice, piano, or organ). During your visit you will be able to meet with faculty and students and have the opportunity to audition. Auditions are required for entrance into the music programs, and scholships are awarded based on auditions. If you are interested in singing in JBU’s Cathedral Choir, you don’t need to be a music major to sing with the choir, but you do have to audition.

To find out more about the Music program or get an audition form, visit the department web site at http://www.jbu.edu/music.

Engineering Day (Nov. 19)

Engineering Day gives students interested in JBU’s Engineering program the opportunity to meet with professors, spend time with Engineering students, and see the department’s yearly design competition in structural mechanics through a bridge building (and busting!) competition. While you’re here, find out more about scholarship opportunities for those pursuing engineering at JBU. JBU’s engineering programs are accredited by ABET and ACCE.

Home-Educated Day (Dec. 3)

If you are currently being home-educated, December 3 is a great day for you to come visit JBU. Home-educated students from all over the U.S. will gather during this visit day to learn about the opportunities JBU has and to experience campus. During your visit, you will have the oportunity to meet current JBU students who were home-educated, and your parents will also get to meet and talk with professors. Some of our professors home-educate their own children and can identify with the transition some might face when attending college. Dr. Pollard, JBU’s president, with also be doing a Q & A session with the parents during the visit.

Junior Day (April 14)

Wanting to get a taste of college early? Junior Day is specially designed for students who are juniors in high school and just starting the college search process. This day gives you the chance to spend the night in the dorm, go to chapel, and visit classes. Make plans to come and join other Juniors from around the nation!

Come and experience JBU!

“I stayed with two new freshmen named Melanie and Stephanie, and they were amazing! I cannot get over how loving and accepting they were. These girls opened up their new home to us and treated us like old friends. Before we left, all three of us prospectives found a front and back note on each of our bags! I loved experiencing God's love through them, and I hope to see them again!”
